Dear Friend,
Don’t get me wrong, we’ve been loving our December in Israel. Tuvia felt good about participating in his medical school reunion. Patiently scoping out the arrival of doctors of all ages and graduating classes,he found the past he was searching for: Nusha, a doctor friend from his earliest doctor days. Their meeting was short but satisfying. Just to know that both were alive, well and flourishing!
And it was good to be with Donnie Gill, friend and life-long adventurer of every stone and alleyway in Jerusalem and we got a short adventure. But the weather is playing with us- a taste of sunshine and then we are plunged back into cold rain and winds but not that we are back in Tel Aviv, with everything familiar, today is my day especially will a solid night of sleep, we have enjoyed everything and there’s more to this day.
So far we have breakfasted at my summer discovery on Mapu Street and then a walk down to the best neighborhood in Tel Aviv, a blast of humus and pita on the beach, a walk back to the hotel along the sea and a nap.
Ahhh… the sunshine feels good. We’re out and off for more.

The trip looks refreshing! Warm weather and sunshine! Strolling on the beach…I could use that right now!
Your photo journal is a statement to the love and “connectedness” you found during your stay. Your smiles are statements that you rekindled your connections to both people and the land during your visit. I suspect the sunshine is in your hearts as you return home.
Lovely! Thanks for taking us with you with words and pictures!
Soaking in the sunshine and joy through your photographs! Safe trip home, my friend.
Ahhh. Another wonderful trip with you. Reading your posts are mini vacations for me. Visits to places I may never see in person, but I get to enjoy through you. Thanks for the trip!
Oh, the food! Oh, the cafés! Oh, the beach! What a great post and photos.
I know we discussed this, but where did Tuvia go to med school? (Marc went to Sackler at Tel Aviv Univ., which is why I ask.)
Happy Chanukah, Bonnie.
Lovely time, I see through your words & photos, Bonnie. The neighborhood does look nice. Glad Tel Aviv was kind to you!
Enjoyed visiting new places through your words and pictures.
So unexpected, you gave me a surprise vacation through your words and pictures! Thanks Bonnie I feel refreshed by the sharing of your adventure!
