I’m the Subject: January 18, 2009

I don’t have too many of these photos.  Photos of me.  I love them!

I used to hate being a photo subject and my picutres were terrible.

One year I lived in Israel and in that year everywhere I went with the group I was studying and working with was a photo op and gradually I lost my discomfort with both sides of the lens and being able to look right into a camera lens without fear,  creates good frozen moments that I don’t usually feel the need to delete.

I’m playing with my new toy, a Flip, for portable video.  I’m sure it will come in handy on Tuesday in DC.

I will have a camera in one pocket and this Flip in the other.

What will I reach for first and foremost?  Not even a question.
