This morning, just before I left for the gym, Tuvia and I watched President Obama speak at the Buchenwald Concentration Camp escorted by the German Prime Minister and Eli Wiesel, who was there, remembering his father who was killed there when Eli was a boy, sleeping in the top bunk. As his father was dying and calling out for help, young Eli remained in his bed, afraid to move.
Now an old man, Eli Wiesel has survived and has born witness to the Holocaust horrors, sharing his experiences with the world.
I stood holding Tuvia. We were silent together listening and watching and feeling once again that Obama is the right man for the job.
Eli Wiesel agrees.
