It’s the last night in Tel Aviv and I am up when I shouldn’t be. I am beginning to feel like Tuvia, that vacation really begins to end before it officially ends and that’s a good thing.
It’s easy to begin a vacation, especially when you come from the cold into the warm summer right at the edge of a sea like the Mediterranean, which we did. And the place is familiar, which Tel Aviv is. So even with Jet Lag it’s a pleasure to get moving.
And then there’s family, kids, great friends, amazing places to visit- everything working out and then there’s a soft voice calling from your life, your real life and the familiar calls you back and for us, we want to get back there. Me, for my place above the Hudson in the fall, for my guitar, for my work, for my gym workouts, for my life. Tuvia has his list as well.
Both of us smile when we remind each other home is where we are going tomorrow night and we are ready to leave paradise for now.
