All About the Baby: 11/365 NaBlogPoMo Day 11

It’s not that we weren’t enjoying the brunch yesterday.  The Epners were together to celebrate Jane’s birthday. I’m not a blood member, but since my arrival in Rockland I have often found my way to this family ciricle and happily I get invited more and more.

The Sunday brunch for Jane was going strong. We were chomping on bagels with Norman’s special egg salad, sipping on screwdrivers and arguing about Avatar’s true worth to the movie world, but grandfather eyes casually scanned the road for the young family already 60 minutes late.

Finally, the black SUV arrived and at the door Michael politely, gingerly insisted he take chare of the baby carrier.  Shay was still asleep but soon, with a bit of patience woke and slowly adjusted to the strange house and the crowd of faces just hoping for a smile.

We stopped all adult conversations, cameras flashed away,

it was all about the baby!
